Blue Too

Description

This option speaks to the client’s blue color preference but is used in combination with a warm gray neutral on the walls to create a visually lighter space. Like the first option, the vanity wall is the focal point of the room, boasting a hexagon tile with a rich handmade look and color variation that provides a great layer of visual depth. The irregular hex shape, along with a larger scale, create a unique look that surpasses “trendy.” This is not the typical hex seen so often in bathrooms and kitchens today. The shower walls across the room are adorned with a subway tile, in a clean stacked bond pattern, that pulls the blue from the vanity area but reads in a more intensely saturated way. The floor tile mimics the wall color and is installed in a herringbone pattern for additional textural interest. By keeping the walls, floor, and vanity neutral we are creating a clean backdrop for the wall tiles at the sink and shower areas to play the leading role. We’ve chosen to stick with contrasting the black fixtures and accessories with gold mirrors, hardware and lights in this option to give that eclectic feel achieved by using mixed metals.
